The Venus Fly Trap (Dionaea muscipula) is a fascinating carnivorous plant that thrives in bright, indirect sunlight and consistently moist, acidic soil. To ensure healthy growth, use distilled or rainwater, avoiding tap water that can harm the plant. Maintain high humidity and provide a dormancy period during winter by reducing watering and exposure to cooler temperatures. Feed live insects occasionally to support its nutritional needs, but avoid overfeeding. With proper care, this unique plant will flourish, offering both an intriguing display and natural pest control.

Sent out in 7cm square pots they will be established in the pots for at least a season before being sent out. Mostly moving forward they will be repotted in co coir and perlite, rather than Peat for ecological reasons. They have been grown outside, only having fleece for protection during the harshest frosts over the last few years, with the aim to produce hardier plants for our customers.
